NATIONAL AUTHORS DAY HUGE SUCCESS
The first every National Authors Day (NAD) was celebrated in true literary style at Oceanside's Civic Center Library. Over 100 visitors packed the Community Room to listen to over 25 North County Authors and Poets (NCAP) speak to the theme: "So You Want To Be An Author."
Students, teachers, writers of all genres assembled to glean from a panel of expert publishers, editors, poets, artists, UCSD and Mira Costa College professors and musicians, techniques necessary to become a polished writer and published author.
Librarians Anna McElroy and Cathy DiMento invited Mary Lenore Quigley, NCAP's Founder, and Elizabeth Yahn Williams, Moderator of The Panel of Experts, to return next November and do it all again.
