NCAP 2008

NCAP 2008 was presented at the Escondido Library in Escondido, California on April 26, 2008.

Although attendance was not what we hoped for the presentations by authors and poets of their books, poems, and subject matter was truly inspirational.

Our local San Diego authors and poets are second to none. Twenty-two authors presented their work. Those of us who listened were inspired to read, write and create.

Here are a few of the pictures taken of our presenters. They are not in the order they appeared during the day.

NCAP is presented conjointly with the Escondido Public Library.

We wish to thank all at the library for their magnificant support.

NCAP 2008 Participants

Those who came were awed by our local talent of authors and poets.

Janie Lancaster reads from her book, "Julie & The Lost Fairy Tale."

Hal Altenbern presents his books, "Slices of Life" - "Seven Course Dinner."

Debra Simpson reads from Sheryl Roush's "Heart of a Woman."

Jim Whiting uses a little magic to present his illustrative book, "Analecta."

Roger Conlee captures the gallery with "Counterclockwise."

"The Panda Who Would Not Eat" as read by Ruth Todd Evans enlightened all.

James Pontius reads his interpretation of  "The Gospel According to James."

Colette Gaceta asks, "Why Be Normal?" as she presents her book with that title.

Carolyn Gross presents her own books, "Treatable and Beatable" & "Staying Calm In The Midst of Chaos."

Apologies to all authors and poets regarding the cancellation of the 2010 Escondido Library event due to construction and renovation.  We will be back in 2011

celebrating Dr. Seuss & Read Across America!

Please reserve the date and join us.

All are welcome.
